mortal kombat trilogy doesnt work with epsxe

ive tried to run mk trilogy with epsxe but whenever the mortal komabt logo appears when the game is starting up, the game restarts. ive tried it with adripsx and it works fine but is slower. anyone?

these are my current settings. under these settings, the game freezes on the mk logo after the avalance logo appears.

no i didnt try using psxeven and now that i have, it does work!! quite a few games work on psxeven for me than on epsxe
ive found out why mk trilogy crashes on the mk logo. whenever i press 'select'(2 on my keyboard) to skip the sequences, the game will restart. if select is not pressed throught the nk logo intro, the game will run.
