Since my first post I've found a program called PPF-Omatic. I also own a registered version of CDRWin. I've made ISO files of all four CDs. But it wants to patch a bin file and I can't work out how to make anything except an ISO file with CDRWin. Even though the readme for PPF-Omatic mentions CDRWin as a bin maker? Also do you patch just disc one? And since there are several ppf files in the UK patch do you do them one at a time on the same iso? As you can see I'm quite confused :emb:

well, you'll have to patch all disks, CDRWin is a bin maker and you have to use the patch that's right for the version of your FFIX, i.e. you patch all disk images with the same patch.

To make bin files from cdrwin you:
1- put the cd in drive :p
2- startup cdrwin and select the 3rd icon from the left, wich is Extract Disc/Tracks/Sectors
3- Just put a filename(without extension) on the box down from the cd(r) drive and click start.
4-you should end up with a .bin file and a .cue(cuesheet) files so go ahead and patch'em
