I didn't get it, but I did take my brother up to GameStop last night at midnight so he could pick up his Xbox360 copy. They usually close at 9 P.M., but stayed open later for the game's release. There was a bit of a line, but it moved pretty quickly, and they only had two registers going. Then again, everyone that was there at that time was only there for that game, so it was in, they had everything ready, checked, and you were out.
I'll probably hear from him how great it is, since he's the type to buy all of the hype ("best game ever" claims while it's not even out, and I'm laughing in my head), but I didn't even think much of the first Modern Warfare, so I obviously won't care for this. I liked the first Call of Duty, and have yet to try the second (want to since I heard it was okay), but the fourth, while it did look good, had nothing that shocked me like it did the console players. Then again, I've seen it all with Medal of Honor, and World War 2 theme stuff (I know, I hear the game apparently isn't around that anymore, but still) is just very hard to impress with anymore. They need to stop with those already. Those were old five years ago. It's just ridiculous now.
It's a shame the console players, and later, the media, seriously hyped the series up with the fourth one, acting like it was all this and all that, when we PC players yawn at it since we have seen it all before, but I guess you can't entirely blame them. Console FPS games aren't what they are on the PC, so it really was a gem to them on the consoles, but sadly, the reverse is becoming true and PC FPS games are becoming what they are like on the console (ala, getting consolitis basically). If I cared about this game, I'd be really ticked at all of the things they did to the PC version.
