when i attempt to load my CastleVania SoTn iso bios or cd rom i get the same error message.
"missing render-texture extension"
promptly followed by
"pixel format available"
if someone could explain this error and how to fix it it would be gratly appreciated

ok i follow the instructions and now i get a new error "no buffer available" and there is nothing in that faq about this error

well thank you for the attempted help but i found a better emulator without having to study the inner working of the emulator to run my game properly, i heard good things about this emulator and i am sorry to find out that they were incorrect

The "good things" are probably corrent, is just that your current system cannot handle it.
