coulda sworn it said dislike to like....well in any case, i find it hard to believe that you didnt put 2000 and XP together, since they are pretty much the same, except XP doesnt come with as many drivers (or support those pretty themes)

shinmajin, I find it curious that you're OSs are listed in basically chronological. Putting XP at number 1 and 3.1 at number 10 is kinda like saying that a 500hp racing vehicle is better than the horse and cart I used to use. I think the list should've been limited to current operating systems...

Ya for the most I feel that m$ Os's have gotten better over the years and that list reflects that. O and remember thats just m$ Os's their are some mac Os's and Linux distros that would be high on it if I put them on it.

To be honest I never had a problem with Windows Me, well not after I used a program called "Optional Component Maker" to strip out the junk that should never have been in there in the first place.

I'd probably still be using Me if I hadn't had to upgrade to play The Battle for Middle Earth.

ME worked well for me as well, i hardly had any problems with it, plus 3dmark was giving me double the score 98 was so i was very happy with it.

For the record, I ran WinME for a while, before I felt like switching over to Win2K. Crashed once in a while, but for me it wasn't completely unusual (hey we still expected our OS's to crash once in a whlle back then). Compared to Win98 it wasn't exceptionally bad.

It did *look* nicer than Win2K anyway.

hehehe, windows ME is for those people who thought there was a windows97. Do you remember those people, I do.
I remember reading about a Windows 96 betaoO (which I believe did exist)...

I like(d)
Windows XP
Windows 2000 Professional
Windows 98SE (gotta love 98 lol).
Mac OSX has never interested me until now.

98 was touchy feely, 98SE was better, and ME just plummeted down the s.h.i.t.t.e.r. 2000 was awesome.

Windows ME worked well for me too and for all those who know how to run their system. So stop cursing Windows ME.

Side Note: Hushy, Go get some rest please. ;)
