Ok, I've been having problems with these 2 games, among others, I try to use with epsxe. The sound effects/music echo long after they come up. It's dang annoying. Sometimes the games slow down a bit too. Is there an ideal configuration?

My comps specs are
1.3ghz P4 dell
256 ram
48x cdrom
geforce nvidia card

any suggestions?

for MGS use epsxe 1.0.1 and use Prodigy SPU or Null's 1.35 or 1.40 SPU.

use the following setting for both

Buffer 40
Block 4

SPU hack OFF in epsxe SPU menu

this will get smoother cutsceens, however there will still be some sound corruption.
