Hey, can anybody tell me the best configuration for the best sound in Metal Gear solid, I use Iori´s last plugin, but if it isn´t the prob, can any teach how to make a speech sound good
help me

does the game run at the correct speed for you? I use petes directsound pluggin and it works ok for me. Everyone has different systems specifications so what works best for me may not necessarily work better for you. The sound problem is unfixable at the moment in this game. Just use the pluggin and setting that works best for you.

Some people have reported better sounds with a game fix. Go into Pete's plugin config(sorry I don't know about Lewpy's) and look at the bottom where it says "special game fixes". put a check in that box and hit the "..." button. Then check the "Use PC fps calculation" option.
That is supposed to give more accurate frame rates reslting in more synchronized sound.
The only way the sound can be perfect though, is if the ePSXe team fixes a timing problem in the core of the emu. There is no publicly known release date for an update of ePSXe at this time.

Yeah you are right that option improve the skipping, but no only for this game but to various games that have that skip problem, thanks man I need it

I think that somebody said to set your FPS limit to 61 or 62 and that helped them reduce sound skipping.

Well,it's a timing problem,cause when I turn off my Frame Limiter(it runs at more than 150 FPS) the sound is perfect,the speech sounds like it should.
At the moment timing is for me the worst problem with ePSXe,just play Tekken 3 and you'll see what I mean,it doesn't even work right with Pete's PC frame calculation!

Well first thing first, it isn't a MDEC,it's precalculated 3D.
Then when exactly does it crashes?
Ginally use this config and it should work(apart from the crashes later in the game but you can get through using ver. 1.0.1).

Also,in Pete's special game fixes you can check "PC frame calculation,it will render at real speed,but you'll also have to check autodetect for frame limiting.

Thanks Raziel for the help but man there is anothet problem with this game.Well actually I am still not able to play this game.

Okay now I have managed to get through the intro mdec and I am in the start menu.In the menu I select new game,it asks me for the level of difficulty.okay I select Normal,now there is a black screen.I waited for almost 10 mins but the but the black screen was still there.

Man help me on this pleaseeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
