Metal gear Solid problems

i know this question may be stupid but help a newbie out. I got up to disc 2 in metal gear solid and i couldnt get epxe to acknowledge the second disc. I tried pressing esc and choosing change disc. However that didnt help. The game said press start when you have inserted disc 2 and i did. however, the game said that it was checking for the disc and then it said wrong disc. Please help me out

I looked and the game didnt allow you to save right before disc 2. If anyone has any other ideas, please help me out.

You could try making a savestate when it tells you to insert disc2. Then restart ePSXe with disc2 in you're drive and load the savestate.
