Everytime after I kill the first boss, MGS crashes with a General Protection fault error.

I have P2 300, 192Ram, Voodoo 2, Win98.

Can someone please help me???

this is a known problem with epsxe 1.4.0 (crashes at FMV) use epsxe 1.0.1

or disable the mdecs... Then no more crashes.. The ingame conversations scenes still work.. Its the Motion video that wont.. It will just show a weird screen with sound.. To disable mdec use epsxe executor or edit the epsxe registry or type in command:

-nomdec

Use petes new direct sound driver 1.11.. It's the best spu for this game at the moment.. Better spu irq.. REad the documentation that comes with it..

I also have another problem... I can't seem to save my games. All I get is some sort of Saving Error in the game. I do believe I've set my Memory card correctly. I also get an MCI error in the Dos window when I start up. Does this have anything to do with the saving errors???

press f4 before loading or saving a game for the first time..

i dont thinks so just specify the right cdrom drive in epsxecutor

yes, I'm glad I saved your life now I feel like a hero in a tiny way

anyways, if you use epsxe 1.0.1 for MGS you'll avoid alot of those problems (FMV crashes, Memory Card read errors) and probably enjoy the game much more, except, you'll need to switch to 1.40 to swap CDs.
