[Black Friday]

Recently I decided to try MGS with ePSXe. Here's the problem I'm having: During cutscenes, the animations start and stop at a regular interval of about a second, making them almost unwatchable. Then, when the first comm part starts, the sound seems to get progressively worse, with 'echoes' from a few seconds back multiplying on each other. Regular gameplay is fine.

I'm using Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.7, along with trying both the SPU core and Eternal 1.41

That fixes the sound issue, but the issue with cutscenes stuttering is still present, even with the updated video plugin. I'll try some others and see if that works.

Alright, that fixes the video issues, but for some reason the sound issues are back. The settings are the same as those specified in the post.
Edit: The initial problems in the cutscene are fixed by switching to the SPU Core, but the echoing remains in the first comm part. There's another, more slight problem, the screen looks like it's shaking a little, in a random motion, blurring things, it's only present in the cutscenes.

If it helps, the sound always skips at the same place. I've tried some suggestions from other forums, such as using PEOPS, and messing with the buffer size in Eternal. Downing the buffer size just made the issues worse, at one point even taking out sound entirely. Same issues with PEOPS.
