Memory Question

Quick question: how I do tell what kind of memory I have in my computer? I installed some 2 or 3 years ago and can't remember what type is. I want to add some more memory sticks, but as I understand the new ones will have to be of the same same type as the current ones to be compatible.

download cpu-z it is a program that will tell you the type of ram and even the manufacturer of it.Search for it on goolge.
