do I need a specific memory card file for this emulator, ssspsx, or does the epsxe memory cards work here too? cause they are not working for me.

No problem...download a memcard manager from this site, and convert the file. SSSPSX is an evolved form of PCSX...so the memcards are compatible

from what part of the site can I download the memcard manager, and what do you mean by convert the file? Sorry if it's an obvious answer, new guy here who just wants to play games...

OK, I downloaded the memcard manager. But dont get it...is a table, two of them, like asking me to pass a file from one side of the table to the other. Both sides say epsxe at the top, what I want is to have a working memory card to use with ssspsx. How to I turn my epsxe memcards to ssspsx memcards? If that is what the manager does....

do the memory card files for ssspsx end is .mcd or .mcr should work too? I don understand that....

ePSXe memcard files should work just fine with sssPSX. You don't need to change the filename or anything, just copy the file over and make sure it's checked on the memcard tab of sssPSX.
