Hi to all ^^
Finally I can play really well with pcsx 2 emulator...
With my new pc...an Intel core 2 duo E7400 @ 2,8Ghz
with 2Gb kingston dual channel
and Ati radeon 2600 HD pro 512 Mb PCI-E

Nice... ^^

I can play really well with FF XII

But I have a stupid question....
Can an emulator like this, that uses so many computer resources, ruin my cpu?
I know this is a stupid question...
But I just think that if this emulator stess cpu to 100% for hours maybe this could lead to have a ruined cpu..

Sorry for my english....

Thanks
bye

Short answer, no. Long answer, maybe (rare maybe), but it won't be by PCSX2 itself. If your overclock is unstable or your CPU runs too warm under load, it can be less than good for it, but I can't see running it under load like that doing any danger of actually ruining it.

oh well...
My cpu isn't overclocked...but it has a normal fan cooling...
In normal stress cpu temperature goes about 35° - 40° Celsius degrees

I also think, like lagunareturns that a program can't damage hardware but my doubt was about stressing cpu for long time... :) that's all..
But is't a stupid question..because also a pc game can stress cpu like pcsx2
