I was testing this game with my new PC setup.. and I thought I'd give it a go. Game runs beautifuly. I usually well over 100 FPS at these settings. Very rarely do I drop below that. I really dont like how imageshack resized images. It makes them look more jagged or somethen :|

1600x1200 @ 4xAA/16xAF and of course.. SLI hehe ;p

Heh, Max Payne 2, one of the best PC games I have ever played. It was a bit short but was thoroughly enjoyable (unlike some of the newer PC games like Doom 3 and Half Life 2 which were a huge bore). Has great action, graphics, story, humor, pretty much everything.

BTW, for anyone who hasn't completed the game more than once you should try to complete the game on the highest difficulty (have to play it a couple of times to unlock it) as you'll get a nice reward at the end;).

Max Payne 2 was an AWSOME game, and really well optopmized. I played it at 1280x1024 with maxed settings on a GF4 MX440! It ran perfectly, and now with my 9800 pro I get no problems whatsoever. This game is a must to play.

Hmm.. Are you sure FSAA is enabled in those screenshots ChrisRay? I see a lot of jaggies. You can un-resize the image shack view by clicking on the picture itself.

Yes its enabled. The screenshots arent scaling properly for some reason. Which is make it appear to be jagged. I commented on that when I started the thread. It looks fine in game. Its something that imageshack did to the images. I woulda posted them here. But they exceed the size of 400KB at that resolution.

You sure about that? Here are a few screens at 1600x1200, 4xAA, 16xAF. One hosted here, the other hosted at imageshack. A few of your screenshots do look like they have some AA, but most don't. Especially noticeable on the last screenshot of yours. Might be your screencapture method. I used FRAPs.

Yeah, they're scaling perfectly.. apperently you don't have AA on.

Yes look below. And see the difference yourself. Only difference this time is I used print screen because it seems to capture load balancer.

Come on Chris, we're not questioning your AA knowledge prowess here. I did similar screenshots and hosted them on imageshack and it looked nothing like your original screenshots. I also posted a few hosted here at Ngemu to compare to the imageshack ones.

The one you did above also doesn't look anything like the original screens you posted. AA is of course apparant in that screenshot. What did you use to take those?

Fraps. I clearly indicated that there was a scaling problem with the images when I posted in my very first post.
