The new MasterGear makes most command line options work on Windows, adds optional frame rate display, and fixes Windows sound initialization, among other things. The Android version of MasterGear is currently on $2.99 sale at Google Play:

ALL CHANGES:

• Fixed audio randomly not working on MG-Windows startup.

• Most command line options should now work in MG-Windows.
• Increased synchronization timer precision in MG-Windows.

Hello, All!

I've released MasterGear 4.9 for Android, a new version of my Sega MasterSystem, GameGear, and SG-1000 emulator:

This release is based on the MasterGear 4.9 for Windows and Linux, published earlier this week. It fixes saving in-game save files (.SAV) and a few other things. As you remember, I had to disable cheat features to avoid Google staff banning MasterGear from the store. You can easily reenable cheats though by downloading this file to your Downloads folder:

Also, MasterGear is on $2.99 sale at Google Play this week. See below for all the changes.

ALL CHANGES:

• Based on the latest MasterGear 4.9 sources.

I've released MasterGear 4.9.1 for Android, a new version of my Sega MasterSystem, GameGear, and SG-1000 emulator:

This release fixes a few bugs and adds Chinese translation. Newer AndroidTV devices (Android 10+) should now be supported. If you are experiencing any issues accessing files on an AndroidTV device, please, let me know. I've released MasterGear 4.9.2 for Android, a new version of my Sega MasterSystem, GameGear, and SG-1000 emulator:

The new release targets Android 11 (SDK-30 API) and fixes a bunch of issues, including virtual gamepad on Android 12 devices and assigning gamepad buttons to keyboard keys. Several possible crashes and a security issue when unpacking .ZIP files have also been fixed. Finally, there is now support for newer AndroidTV devices.

Please, note that the method to get cheats back has changed in this version. As you remember, I had to disable cheat features to avoid Google staff banning MasterGear from the store. You can easily reenable cheats though by downloading this file and CLICKING ON IT in the File Selector:

• Fixed possible crash in the State Exchange.
• Fixed virtual gamepad shape reloading multiple times.
• Refactored virtual gamepad layout mechanism.
• Lowest supported Android version is Android 4.4 (SDK-19) now.
• Now targeting Android 11 (SDK-30).

I've released MasterGear 4.9.3 for Android, a new version of my Sega MasterSystem, GameGear, and SG-1000 emulator:

Retro emulator that runs classic MasterSystem, GameGear, and SG1000 games.

The new release applies the final fix to keyboard key assignments and no longer displays the complete folder path in the File Selector title. Just the folder name is shown instead.

As you remember, I had to disable cheat features to avoid Google staff banning MasterGear from the store. You can easily reenable cheats though by downloading this file and clicking on it in the File Selector:

• Another fix to gamepad assignments to keyboard keys.
