Hello, I've decided to make this thread so that people who still are having problems and finding their solutions, can post/search on only one thread.

BE AWARE! May contain spoilers.

Edit: Basically, as stated and proved (I finished the game), to fully play this game, you need No$gba 2.6a and no$zoomer 2.3.0.2. If you want less noise and a little bit speed, you could try using no$wtt and no$nrm.
You need to have the EXTRA option EX0 turned ON all the time, and turn EX5 before every boss battle (and if you wan turning it off later to get a faster game).

To pass through Start New file freeze

You need to have biosnds7.rom, biosnds9.rom and a firmware.bin on the same folder of your emulator and the patched rom, want them? Dump them from your DS.

The first Bowser boss battle (midbus), and ALL other boss battles (including Mario & Luigi when they're on the top screen), that causes the screen (with bowsers/mario logo) to split and crash the emulator, making you lose your save file

How to bypass it: Having no$zoomer version 2.3.0.2 (the real one) that on the "other" tab, there will be an option EXTRAS, select EX0 and EX5, if that doesn't do it, select all.
This also may work with future battles.

Giant Bowser battles split screen and/or crashes during/after fight.

how to bypass it: Before battle select EX0 and EX5 so the split screen doesn't occur. After the battle starts, you'll be prompted to learn how to fight like this, say NO. After that, disable EX5 and play the battle normally.

The game/emulator crashes and I lose my save file (works for other games)

no$gba saves the battery file when you close the emulator, but, with no$zoomer, you can save it before closing it, anytime you want, It's advised to do that everytime you save in game.
To write the battery file without having to exit the emulator it's and option on the "File" tab > "Save Battery File".

schumi_4ever said: "(...) either loading another game or simply reloading (not resetting) the game also writes the save to HDD."

How to set hotkeys

This is useful for not having to scroll through the menus.
To select hotkeys for options (like the save battery and/or the Ex% options, go to "Other" tab > "Key assignement".

Thanks to the user stupapro11 for the save battery and hotkeys info :)

Now, the only issue I'm having is that the game runs slow, the EX5 really doesn't do nothing about speed, and also the save screen flickering already mentioned (which isn't a big deal) and sometimes the emulator crashes randomly if not using EX0.

And thanks to schumi_4ever for editing this threat to comply with the rules (but Senna was better than schumi ;))

I would like, if possible, to know if there is anyway to play this game smoothly in the future

Amended to adhere to the [rules]rules[/rules]

There's nothing you can do about the speed of the game.

EX% do from far too much for me. From running too slow out of battles, to run like in a DS, smoothly. I also activated all EX just in case. Also I have running no$wtt with turbo and special options on and no$nrm. Thanks for the help men ^^ Oh, and some voices doesn't sound good, but this is a minor bug. EDIT: It could be fixed with remove noise from no$zoomer. EDIT2: An small bug is when you are going to save, but you could see the options, just a minor bug.

Major bug: When Bowser try to get out a big carrot, in the test Mario gets stuck too often. If you have 2 or 3 hours and do it; the animation "crashes" (dont star animation bowser taking out the carrot) when you finish the minigame. Deactivating EX5 doesn't work. Is playable until this point. I'll search about being able to find a solution

I got past that point deactivating EX5 meanwhile I was doing that mini-game . Yeah, that part is somewhat hard without EX5, but it is very possible to get past it.

*Immediately* after that, enable EX5 (I assigned a key to it in order to activate/deactivate it easily), and you'll be able to see the rest without crashes.

Good Luck!

PD. I only have EX0 and EX5 activated for that game.

Yea, I played thru most of the game with EX0 activated and nothing else. Only a few times did I have to activate EX5 (certain battles) or all the EX0-5 (when Bowser turns huge.)

The nice thing about the new no$zoomer is after you save you can have it save the battery file so you don't have to exit the emulator to get it to write to the file. I just assigned it one of the keys on my gamepad so after every save I would hit that key so even if the game crashed I would still have my latest save.

Wow wow wow stupapro11, that option is quite nice and i didn't know about it o_O
I'll try looking for it by myself, but in any case, could you describe in here (for either me or other users) whats the name of that save option and how to assign a shortcut key for it?
That would most definitely make me play this (and zelda again).

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Found them I'm going to add this on my first post, thanks once again.

You're still not quite right by the way, it's not just closing the emulator normally which writes the save to the HDD, either loading another game or simply reloading (not resetting) the game also writes the save to HDD. So before I discovered that option in No$Zoomer I would save and then load the game again after every save.

Have you any idea for improving this? It just runs at 10 fps, so hit the balls in right moment is just like trowhing a bomb at the First of 2nd World War: You NEVER hit accurately... Thanks for the info EmuSoldier! :thumb:

P.D. I never have a corrupted savefile with the game, I didn't do anything to bypass the errors, just some reboots of ROM 'cos it freezes, who is explained abobe the "fix" (deactivatin EX5) Greetings

Thanks, I'll edit the info then. But it was easier to understand the way i wrote x)

It's at a stable 10 FPS, meaning the rhythm is still intact. If you're good, you can play the arm-muscle game blindfolded.

I just got past the giga carrot mini game, I disabled EX5, failed alot to hit the energy balls but still I managed to pass through it.
With EX5 enabled the energy balls kept incoming and was impossible to go on.

were you walking about that mini game (that you hit balls with hammers) or the one you have do digest the carrot's pieces in 1 min?
