Download kailerra source, and mame source and compile it yourself. :p

I know how to compile mame, but very rudimentary knowledge - can add games, so if you can get the source to a kailerra release and this mame; it woudl be possible to just try out the drivers embedded in mame 97u5 with the old kailerra enabled mame.

Best to wait for a new release though.

Can't wait till MAME can emulate Sega Titan board perfectly :(.

What do you mean add games? Are not all the games added? Or do they purpously leave games out?
They purposely leave out really new games until they're a few years old.

Guess why Metal Slug 4 and 5 are still unemulated. Being extremely hard to emulate is definitely NOT the reason.
Heh yeah, you can easily find MAME's that the MAME team does not support - in fact they've talked about not even releasing the source because the project isn a game playing tool but a research tool. Like real hackers hacking into something just to see if its possible, not to raise hell or steal information - they just want to see if its possible.

What I mean by adding a game was, to add the game information from this release of the MAME update, to the older kailerra versions. That way you'd have the new game support with the old netplay support. But you need to be able to find a pre-configured version of mame that suppots kailera.

ANyway about leaving games out, I believe the team goes for 2 years or older games only. They want to keep the arcade business flowing if at all possible. Then outside of that there are the games that they have not gotten working yet.

What's the purpose of perserving games if not to play them.
I suppose their reason is that if you really want to play the newest games, you'll go to an arcade and play them, thereby supporting the arcades.

And boy do acrades vastly need the support. At least in the area I live in. Its so hard to find good games around here. But at least we have DDR and ITG, thats all I really need to be truly happy :-D < ^ V >
