Mad Catz MC 2 Steering Wheel

I have the Universal Mad Catz MC 2 Steering Wheel, which can be plugged into an Xbox, PS 1 or 2, and a Game Cube. I have an adapter to use my xbox controller with ePSXe and it works fine. I'm using the XBCD drivers. But it does not recognize the steering wheel. If I get a PS to USB adapter will that work? I don't won't to waste my money on one of those things if I don't have to.

There's no real guarantee. I know for sure that some ps2 specific joysticks won't work with ps2-usb adapters.
