K, this is yet one of those, I have nothing better to do topics. Although this one I think is one of the dumbest things I have seen M$ done in a while next to their security leaks.

OMG if parents can't figure out leet themselves how the heck do they plan to stop kids from pirating. Another botched plan from M$. Assuming people are not totally computer oblivious. Teaching my mom leet would be like teaching a dolphin english, not that she is dumb, (dolphins are smart) but like it's just not gonna help anyone if they know leet. You wana stop piracy then you teach the parents how to use a computer before you teach em leet.
 :rotflmao:

Read Microsoft's official article A parent's primer to computer slang. It’ll sure make you guys laugh.

Apparently M$ thinks that leetspeak is “the digital equivalent of pig Latin with a twist of hieroglyphics”. OMG WTF LOL!!!!1111!!

But they’ve also identified an underground leetspeak community, since: “It's important to remember that the leetspeek community encourages new forms and awards individual creativity, resulting in a dynamic written language that eludes conformity or consistency.”

And I laughed a lot with the following section: “The first series is of particular concern, as their use could be an indicator that your teenager is involved in the theft of intellectual property, particularly licensed software.”

The words they mention in this first series are warez, h4x, sploitz and pwn. (For “pwn” they also mention that “Online video game bullies or "griefers" often use this term.”)

Very good reading. Thanks for the link ;)

Microsoft specifically highlights terms related to illegal activity, such as "warez" or "w4r3z," and "pwn3d." "Their use could be an indicator that your teenager is involved in the theft of intellectual property, particularly licensed software," the company says.
LOL, this is so funny, this goes right up there with is your son a computer hackor?

If your son has requested a new "processor" from a company called "AMD", this is genuine cause for alarm. AMD is a third-world based company who make inferior, "knock-off" copies of American processor chips. They use child labor extensively in their third world sweatshops, and they deliberately disable the security features that American processor makers, such as Intel, use to prevent hacking. AMD chips are never sold in stores, and you will most likely be told that you have to order them from internet sites. Do not buy this chip! This is one request that you must refuse your son, if you are to have any hope of raising him well.
LMFAO!!
Yes the other weird stories that crop out because of this incident is very interesting. My brother was just laughing it out and sending that link to all his gaming friends LOL.
haha yeah, my friend sent me that and I "1013d" so hard.....I hate 1337 speak....haha but it can be funny....
LOL

The funniest part is at the end of Boltz' link:

"Did you find this information useful?" :eyemove:
