I'm looking for midi files of the NES game Blue Shadow, or Shadow of the Ninja as it is known in other regions.
I really like the boss music in it but I can't find it. I tried google and VGmusic.com. If someone else has them or knows a site which has plz let me know :)

I'll do that :)

But actually I wanted to use them as a ringtone :heh:

I'll see if I can convert them to MP3 or something, there must be a way.

Thanks for the advice :)

why don't you search for the NSF files and download the winamp plugin?

Cuz MIDI composers add some slight extra touch to NES tunes sometimes. NOT complete remixes, but slightly more orchestrated feeling to metroid or such. MIDI's kick ass, especially with soundcard with hardware midisupport.

Cid, XG-100 is way better.
I only have the XG70 because that's the one that came with FF7 pc :)

Never looked for an other one because when compared to winamp or any other midi player this one already was quite nice.

Actually winamp or other midi players depend on your sound card. It's not that Winamp is bad, it's because your sound card doesn't run midis as good as Yamaha XG soft-synthesizers family.

You can even make winamp run your midis with the yamaha XG by configuring your Midi output plugin (in winamp) .
* Another good choice is Microsoft synthesizer which is good (just not as Winamp) .
But on the same time Microsoft synthesizer gave me better results in FF8 PC. Some instruments played by Microsoft synthesizer were missing in Yamaha's .

That because FF8 uses Directmusic instruments to enhance its music, like those choirs etc... They are not midi instruments, but work together with MIDI's. Yamaha does not support them, so thats why there is some instruments missing when using it instead.
