My 27" TV kicked the bucket. When I turn on my TV I just get a very, very dark image. I can't even see the TV menu to adjust for brightness. The TV lasted about 7+ years. That is pretty good for a TV made in Mexico.

It's time to get another TV set.

Which TV set do you guys recommend? The budget has to be within $300 Cdn.

Panasonic is excellent. Great choice.

Flatscreen TVs are still CRT based, but the image doesn't wrap at all giving a better illusion of quality.. and it's quite a big difference from a regular bubble TV.

I have also decided on a Toshiba 24" Flat Screen.

It's smaller, but it's cheaper than the 27" Panasonic one.

Is Toshiba a good brand for TV sets?

I bought a great JVC 27" TV...it has all the hookups I need, it's not a flatscreen, but it was on $215...
