Yeah killing 270 men, women, and children is so pious. I'm glad Obama wants to be friends with countries who idolize terrorists who kill innocents.

So is he a good Muslim? is he getting 72 virgins in paradise when he dies?

People die of terminal illnesses all the time while they're serving their prison sentence. There was no reason to give this guy a free ride.

And of course he's not going to get 72 virgins. He was not a "godly" man. He did something horribly cruel. Of course he is not going to be having a reward awaiting him in heaven. Anyone that studies Islam knows that.

If I remember correctly, I think it was after the Quran was written, from the word of mouth of a prophet or something. I could be very wrong though. I'm very tired and in a horrible mood at the moment.

I may be wrong, but Islam prohibits adultery too, correct? Wouldn't having 72 virgins to **** be just as against the the rule in heaven?

No, I don't think so.

In a lot of countries where Muslims reside in the Middle East, it is not against the law to marry up to 3 women at a time. I think it is illegal if you marry past that number though. Even though the system is hard and it doesn't make sense to most Westerners (and even some Muslim women that I've talked to), for the most part, it works out for them. The reason why you don't see more men being married to more than one women there is because of how much it is to care for more than one wife. Also, less hormones lol. And some just don't want to marry more than one because they don't want to. They love the one woman and just want to stick with her.

Anyways, I really haven't studied up more on the 72 virgins in heaven aspect to tell you the truth. I'm just trying to remember what a Muslim friend told me when I was studying Arabic. But from what I recall, I think it is a fact that most Muslim men believe that they will gain 72 virgins in heaven after death after they have served a "Godly" life.

If a Muslim man dies for his beliefs (a martyr) he will have the 72 virgins awaiting him in heaven. Number one, that man did a horrible thing, he would not get that reward if he had died. And number two, he did not die.

Yes, this is stated in the Quran.

The Quran talked about killing innocents more than enough.

Allah says :

On that account: We ordained for the Children of Israel that if any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people. Then although there came to them Our messengers with clear signs, yet, even after that, many of them continued to commit excesses in the land.

Another translation of the same verse: (since it is hard to translate it 100%.)

For that cause We decreed for the Children of Israel that whosoever killeth a human being for other than manslaughter or corruption in the earth, it shall be as if he had killed all mankind, and whoso saveth the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind. Our messengers came unto them of old with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), but afterwards lo! many of them became prodigals in the earth.

Allah ordered this^ to Israel people in Moses time.

Another verse from The Quran:

Those who invoke not, with Allah, any other god, nor slay such life as Allah has made sacred except for just cause, nor commit fornication; - and any that does this (not only) meets punishment.

Another translation of it :

And those who cry not unto any other god along with Allah, nor take the life which Allah hath forbidden save in (course of) justice, nor commit adultery - and whoso doeth this shall pay the penalty;

The Prophet said about this case but I couldn't find the translation.

On battlefield, if Muslim killed for his religion/country/nation he'll go to heaven directly "Inshallah".

Why killing 270 innocent people makes him a hero?

It does not. It is more of a matter of perception and political interest (more so economic reasons), hardly religious. It always happens whenever people think that they are the victims, and thus seek "justice" by hurting others. And then the ones hurt will retaliate, and so forth. One's hero is another's criminal. They only use religions as a justification of their act.

I think Koko meant to not classify a country as a whole that idolizes terrorists. You will always have a handful of people in every country that will know that that is wrong. I just don't think he wants you to classify the country as a whole.

No, I'm sorry, I didn't intend to classify the whole Libya as the supporters of this kind of terrorism. I wanted to say that who's terrorist, and who's the hero may very well be the matter of perception, and it is all very subjective. I agree with Koko. My hometown also suffered a bombing by terrorists claiming that they are doing a holy war against the imperialists, they wore muslim attributes, and now, whoever wear arabic style clothes, or with a long beard and white robes are looked at with suspicions. I hate terrorism, but I hate even more the people who do these kind of things and claiming that they are the saviour, the messenger of Allah's will, yet what they do is against all the values that Islam has.
