I have Virtual PC 2004

It works fine for installing microsoft OSs but I can't install linux. I have only tried fedora core 2 so far as it is the only one I have a disk for.

which, if any, linux distros are supported on it. and are there any ways of getting round this problem.

uhh...I have no problems with Linux in VPC and I've used Gentoo, RH, SuSe 9, and some other distros. Only thing I haven't gotten to work was sound because I don't know how to set up an ISA soundcard (since VPC emulates a SB16 PnP ISA card)

[edit]: onlyissue I had actually was when starting X and it being set to 24-bit colour, it will show a messed up display. To fix, you'd have to boot up in text mode, edit the /etc/X11/XfreeConfig-4 file (or something like that, can't remember the name of the config file), and you find a line that pertains to the color depth, then you change it from 24 to 16 or 32, then it should work again.
