my question is very simple : is there a chance that the link cable feature will one day be emulated? i searched on the internet and found ppl saying that no technical info was available about it. is that true? are you guys planning on supporting this in the future? i can't wait to play wipeout 2097 in two-player mode

Use Cyberpad.
It allows for TCP/IP play.

that's true, fireblaster_lyz, but it's for ingame multiplayer, not Link Cable. so far, Link Cable has never been emulated, and it might be a long time before it ever is.
