I'm trying to play Legend of Legaia, everything is set up fine as far as I know. I've watched youtube videos, gone by the config help files, nothing really makes sense. I start up the game and all I get is a black screen. No sound, no game, nothing. Any suggestions?

are you playing from the disc or from an image?

I'm playing from an image I believe, it's a .bin file.

have you tried playing from the disc to see if there is any difference? if it works then all you probably have to do is re-rip the image, if it doesnt then it is pointing to a bigger problem that could involve the condition of the disc itself.

I don't have the disc anymore, I backed up everything onto my computer when I moved and my box of CD's and games and such got dropped off the back of the pickup truck whilst moving. I got it working about two years ago, but it doesn't work anymore. Thus the confusion and annoyance

Try pSX. If it doesn't work in there then your rip is probably fuxed and you are SOL.
