The game gets really choppy and I am only at the intro. its starting to annoy me. Want to know what method is used to fix it. thanks guys.

Could you post your PC specs, version of the emulator and name of the plugins used, please?

EMachines 2.2 GHz Athlon XP with 1 GB ram and NVidia 6200 Graphics Card. i have ePSXe v. 1.7.0, Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.9, ePSXe SPU core 1.7.0, and ePSXe CDR WNT/W2K core 1.7.0

Try with Pete's OGL 1.76.

usually latest = better but it 1.78 for Opengl one and 1.77 for D3D one

Are you playing off the CD? If so, try using a different CD plugin like Sapu's, or make an ISO.

its not off the CD... it is an ISO...
