Konverter PSX to USB

Does someone know's whether a converter from PSX to USB under Linux works?
Or is there anyone how speaks german? :???: Need Help to Play with ePSXe under Linux. Because my Gamepad ist not working and I try do by such a konverter.

In theory a converter shoud work if there are linux drivers
