Same as knuckles for results, however I have been playing with patches. This game always stops on DVDread: 600800. Yet if I skip scempegisend the game stops on DVDread: 600400. (note in both instances you hear a 'squeek' on that DVDread.

this game seems to ask for an spu2 interrupt (sets irqa, enables irq and plays a voice that will signal that interrupt in a few moments) but I'm not sure if pcsx2 handles spu2 interrupts correctly... either pcsx2 ignores the spu2 interrupt, or the game has another problem making it loop.

EDIT: btw I'm leaving tomorrow and I won't come back until friday if anyone cares :p
