ok, a friend and i wanted to play through ff9 coop.

We tried it on kailera and it worked fine but the graphics were bugged.

We fixed them and now the game runs smoothly and huds etc show up

now when we try to play kaillera says the rom is not available

It did this to both of us, and the iso is the EXACT same copy, I have a collection I backed up personally and I have tested it and it worked before we fiddled with the graphic settings.

Obviously graphics shouldn't affect the rom...

Even before when it worked it said "unknown rom" followed by ff9's SLUS ID

Any idea why it suddenly doesn't work?

Also we both deleted and re-added the iso to our HDD just in case, still giving us an error

It's not cooperative in the sense you're thinking, but you can configure the controller used for each of the characters when in battle, so battles can be multiplayer controlled. It was a neat feature to let a friend watching you play through help you out without having to constantly pass the controller back and forth, I suppose.

And I managed to get kaillera to work with it we just copied our plugins back over to 1.70 and it worked

But it desynchs after a few minutes, oh well, It was a nice thought but I will just play through it on my psp.
