Depends on your PC's bus speed. What kind of chip, etc... does your PC have in it?

Ummm if he has 4 Slots he can upgrade to 2GB (4x512) Dual Channel.

Yeah, just be careful. On the Dell boards, they ALWAYS recommend using memory from Crucial for that reason becuase it's guaranteed to work or they'll refund it. According to the prices there though, Newegg looks to be your best bet. One of the comments mention that memory working in another Dell so you should be fine.
