Hehe finnaly, just bought a P4 3.0E prescott and a new motherboard to support it (ASRock P4V88). However i have a small question. i was just about to install everything and i noticed the AGP slot has a small warning saying "Dont put a 3.3V AGP card here or it might damage it". How do i know if my card is 3.3V or not? I have a Riva TNT2 M64 and a 9800xt (damaged but im getting it back soon). Is it ok to use them?

AGP 4x runs at 1.5 volts and 8x runs at 0.8. I believe 2x is 3.3v and 1x is 5v. It should only be an issue with old cards, such as the TNT2. It's pretty much standard with any recent motherboard anyways.

oh, so the older cards use the higher voltage???? I thought it was the other way around....more powerful card would equal higher voltage....that's kinda odd....

Some older cards are AGP3.3 voltage.

the 9800pro is not, its 1.5 voltage if i remember correcty.

there talking about don't put AGP2x cards, AGP2x are 3.3 volts.
