i have tried every cdr plugin with every configuration possible.

cd drive
samsung cd rom sc-152c vcs04

There is similar problem with mgs american version where cd drive just stops reading after destroying the helicopter of liquid snake in disc 1.Before that the game runs quiet smoothly.

Even making iso on hard disc dosen't helps in both cases.

Actually, we have many members using onboard videocards. they are not good, but epsxe still work with them using Pete's D3D or Pete's Soft(which does not require 3D acceleration).

hawk: Try Pete's Soft plugin. If it doesn't work, maybe the game is not playable at all.
About MGS, are you sure you don't have a bad copy of the game? Use VGS, and if it crashes at the same part, your cd have problems.

*edit*: FireGL tested jackie chan and he got the same results. Seems that it's not playable at all.
