I have made the Direct Pad Pro thing
and even got PSX to USB thing
I even have TV-OUT for my computer

Will it work on them

I want to use some thing like the Gun Con or Bio Gun
on the pc

I just dont have the gun yet

The PSX guns can be found for $20 and look good

verse getting the stupid looking Act labs guns for $80
Or the sega PC gun for $50 that may or may not work for any
other games

the act labs gun doesn't support much games, but it could get more support in the future..it works great on die hard trilogy 2 for the pc (similar to virtua cop and time crisis) though
..the sega pc gun..it's not available over here...I would get one if I saw one.

psx guns are not supported afaik....

The sad thing Is that if the ACT labs guns looked better
There might be a remote chance I would get them

Thay look verry --I cant say--
If the army used them It would be a dont ask dont tell thing

I can just see my friends laughing at me now

I want a gun that looks like it might realy kill some thing
---------------------------------------------------------------
I have ordered the sega gun from a store in the usa

I dont think Sega made it but it has two Sega PC games with it
House of the dead 2,Virtua Squad 2 And it to looks a little dumb

But not as bad a the ACT Labs guns

I will just have to see if it sucks or even works

ok, I'll admit. I bought a hairdryer that I can aim at the screen ;)

...but at least it works, even though that's only on one or two games...
I just hope support will increase....hairdryer or not, what's inside is pretty good (and accurate!)

I think that the sega gun I ordered is a -knock off-
or made by some Hong Kong place

Maby it was to be the -knock off- of the real sega gun
that never came out - I don't know

I know it has a black box and plugs into the mouse and
game port

I thing that because it plugs into the mouse port and
it has sega shooter games with it, that it must act
like a mouse and if it does then I think it will work
on other games

Or I might have wasted $50 on junk

well, that's what I thought the actlabs gun might do to..afterall it has a mouse emulation driver....but, it doesnt get any more inaccurate than that...so in order to use the actlabs hairdryer ;) properly it needs to be really supported...like i said, die hard trilogy 2 is actually the only real kickass game i have for it but it kinda saved the gun for me. It's very cool, even with only one game (maybe it helps that I only had duck hunt with my nes zapper ;)). Some more support wouldnt hurt though.

Found Some more info

Here Is some info I found At web site

http://www.segamad.com/pages/news/news_04-01.html
--------------------------------------------------------------------
IOData of Japan have made an interface to allow the use of the
original Sega Saturn gun with House of the Dead 2 on the PC.
They have released this with their own PCI card, a black
Virtua Gun (lucky fools!) and the game itself in a special
pack for 8,500 yen (about £48). See below for pics from their
site.

http://www.iodata.co.jp/news_rel/200104/051.htm
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Thats what a pc gun should look like

I may, If the gun I get sucks, get the IF-SEGA2 gun

you're right about that....if there's any gun that will be supported in the future I think the act-labs gun would be a likely choice, because there's a developer kit available for it.

again, all they have to do to epsxe is implement the pad plugin... i think.
the psemu pro pad plugin has support for guncon, but i dont know how it works... i cant find much document explaining the pad plugin :(

btw, does time crisis work for any emus that support the pad plugin?

i'm also waiting for your news, will1384. i knew about the gun you ordered, but really didnt have usd$50 + shipping just for experiment. i have virtual squad and die hard trilogy 2 (the gun comes with vsquad2 and hotd) so i wonder if it'll work for my games and hotd2 as well.

well, afaik only the act-labs gun works with die hard trilogy 2.......
the act-labs also has a mouse driver, but it's an unofficial one, and with a reason: it's highly inaccurate :(

G

·
hmmm.....yep, that looks VERY similar. ....makes you wonder, I mean...the act-labs hairdryer doesn;t have (proper) support for virtua cop....only with a mouse driver, but it's inaccurate...
so perhaps your gun would have a mouse driver as well....if this is the case, let's hope it will be accurate!

I've got this one, the single act-labs gun (SGA)
http://www.act-labs.com/gun4.htm

while Die Hard Trilogy 2 works like a charm, I was a bit annoyed with top shot....it isn't correctly playable (you can't scroll to see all targets, which makes it hard to get good scores and some targets are so tiny (a few pixels) that it's virtually impossible to hit them with the gun),allthough it's listed as officially supported and even shipped with the gun. Die Hard Trilogy 2 demo was shipped with the gun as well, after playing that I immediately got the full version :)
A third game that was shipped with my gun was Critical Mass Demo....while it's supported correctly and works good it's just dull.

And because the unsupported, unofficial and beta (actually alpha)mouse driver is so crappy that only leaves the die hard game for now....one game is not much, but at least it's a very good one, a "gun-saver" ;) :)
....but I'm hoping for more support in the future...if there's anything the gun would be good at, it's at psx shooters like time crisis or point blank. So I just hope one of the epsxe authors is a lightgun-addict ;)

yep, technically, it is definitely possible to emulate the GunCon with the Act-labs gun perfectly in psx emulators. just need someone to do it...

my copy of Die Hard Trilogy 2 was bought from EB for cdn$5! and it comes with a usd$5 rebate coupon for online ordering the SGA!
very tempting...

if that psx emu support is realized, i would probably order the SGA.

but it seems that epsxe will not have a new release for quite some time. that's why i'm asking again, does Time Crisis work with anything other than ePSXe? psemu pro, adripsx, fpse, anything? if it does i'll buy the game and fiddle with it...

YES IT WORKS LIKE A MOUSE

I can shoot in paint brush ---- And it needs no driver

It bad as hell -- the accuracy is a 8 out of 10

it has auto reload and the gun feels good in your hand
even has a start button

It hardware only, the little black box is the brains

I will post pics of the gun
