2x 8800Gtx SLI'd
2.4 Quad Core Intel Quad
2 Gigs of Ram
Windows XP

The reason I ask is because my back up of Odin's Sphere is stuttering every now and then and it's mostly unplayable.

I was just wondering if it was my computer or if I'd set up pcsx2 wrong.

Thanks in advance!

your PC is very good for PC games but not so good for PCSX2 since a 2.4 GHZ cpu won't play many game at full speed.
What you need is a CPU clocked at 3GHz or more. 3.6 or 4GHz will be the best.

Thanks for the really quick replies.

I'm a virgin to overclocking, but I've always wanted to dip my toes in. Could someone provide a link with a great place to start researching it?

Thanks again.

The most important parts: Watch your voltages, temperatures, and get rid of the ****ty Intel stock fan. You'll need way better cooling to get that Quad to 3Ghz and beyond, especially if it's a Q6600.

Looking into it more pcsx2 is only using 5% of my CPU when the stuttering occurs. But when the game runs smooth, its only 30-45%.

EDIT: scratch that, I waited a bit and it jumped to 99%. Looks like I'll be doing some overclocking.
