I only 'bump' when in example I post something in the love thread a day ago, and no one has replied to it yet, I will put the info from today in a new post. I never heard any complaints about 'double posting' this way when it's completely new post which adds to the existing thread.
Because if I'd edited the previous post, no one would notice the new info.
