is Half-Life compatible with W2k and XP?

I want to know if Half Life, the first one is compatible with w2k an xp professional. I want to buy it again because my cd is scratched and i don't have a backup.
So anyone have tried it under w2k or xp.

i think yes ! it works on w2k on on a pc of a friend !

As long as you apply the latest patches, it works flawlessly. The early CD releases don't however. Just make sure you patch it.

if counter strike runs on that 2 o/s it will work
