Is Geforce 2 MX 200 good?? ill buy one next week?!?

Man, I really think that a Geforce2 is great, but with your specs, it will not work at full speed, since your cpu is a bottleneck in your computer. tnt2 is not much better than a voodoo3, so I would save money to upgrade the cpu first.

If your planning to upgrade your computer in about 6 months, then best advice is to probably hold onto your current voodoo3 untill it comes time to purchase your new system. Then upgrade to a better video card (like a Geforce3).
1. you save money, because geforce 3 class video cards are going to be dirt cheap in a couple of months
2. you stay on the technology curve. Why spend money on the lowest end geforce card who's performance maxes out around 800Mhz.
if you upgrade to a geforce2MX 200 now, your probably going to regret it in a couple of months...and then end up spending more money again on another grapihc card.

I actually bought a new comp system for my brother as a gift.(actually he's my nephew but i treat him more like a brother
).
Gave him an Athlon 1Ghz + Geforce2MX 200 (gonna save u know). I tried it on, and man wuz I surprised, that thing is really kinda slow with anything above 800x600, i had to return the damn thing and get at least an MX400, so now its a little bit smoother, and my brther aint complainin. SO if you're just gonna run everything at 640x480, then just stick with the mx200, otherwise get a Geforce 2MX/MX400 or above. Of course if you're gonna upgrade your comp in a couple of months anyway then just stick with the voodoo and buy an excellent card later. (as liquid has suggested).

as far as i know voodoo is great on emulators, as long as there is a glide support in it. i recently have a voodoo 3 3000 and it was fast on my system (running impact emu w/ the glide plugin). i just sold it and bought a voodoo 5 5500.

im working as part time network gaming technician but i love emulation very much.
I really apreciate the tips
but i wont have money to upgrade my system, unless the dollar stop costing to much( i live in Brazil, so 1Dollar=2,74Real, plus 60% import tax)
and yes, i run my games at 640x480, at most 800x600
so i think ill stay with the mx200-its 245 R$
the creative Blaster is 450 R$-wow
ill just sell my voodoo 3 for 190 R$ and add 55bucks
as long its better than my voodoo 3 its all ok
