Inuyasha's ending??

Ok, first of all, I LOVE inuyasha. Its the best anime ever made.
That said, I created this thread 'cause something is bugging me: did Inuyasha ended on episode 166-167? On the end of this 1 hour special, it seemed as if this was the final episode. But... WHERE'S THE F*K*NG ENDING? I mean,
naraku is still alive"
Did Inuyasha really ended??
Anyway, I've seen the first three movies, but I've heard they already did the forth movie. Could the ending be there?

This is Rumiko Takahashi we're talking about here. Did Ranma 1/2 have an ending? Urusei Yatsura?
but those two didnt have any kind of seriousness to them >.< inuyasha had a big bad villain and had some general direction before it got cut off.
The story actually goes on in the manga.... it seems the anime folks just got tired of Rumiko's never-ending loops :D

manga spoiler
In fact it was cut out at a good part... we were about to see Kagura's and Hakudoushi's death's >.<
Proto, is there any chance that the anime mite pick up again?

Well, nothing official has been announced (and the 4th movie released last december was just a spinoff story like the other ones), but i guess there is some possibility they will pull out something similar to what they did in HunterxHunter (that is, periodically releasing a series of OVA's) that way they won't have to invent a filler every third chapter at least :p

The anime series went into a hiatus due to the fact that the manga is still going on and there are no signs of an ending on the near future... personally I think that it's the smartest choice seeing how all the filler episodes of the series sucked so much. ie: after the great Shichinintai ark we are stuck with like 10 episodes which are pure crap and show the Inuyasha gang acting completely out of character.

The manga will keep going on for at least another 2 years... and that is if Rumiko Takahashi ever plans on finishing it... as a side-note, a lot of stuff happened on the manga and just when it seemed that a "final" confrontation was in order things started to go off-topic again...
Sign...
Well, I'm trully disapointed. I mean, Inuyasha wasn't just another anime. It was THE anime!
But hey... I think i'm just gonna wait to see if something good will happen...
I was so annoyed how the series ended. But if they do happen to restart it i'll only watch if i know they finished the manga.
Good luck there... knowing Rumiko Takahashi that may as well never happen... ;)
Agreed.... she can create the most beautiful stories but she must have skipped the "how to end a story" course back in school...
Heh, InuYasha strengthened his sword a dizillion of times, Kykyou died a good ten times and Naraku is always about to be killed but miraculously he survives... the manga is dwelling a bit on that issue lately but as I've said... it's starting to stray off again...

Yeah, its really getting old. I mean, I really liked when Kikyou died on episode 124 (I really hate kikyou), but then, on ep 151, SHE WAS ALIVE AGAIN!!!! D*mn.
Inuyasha is a great anime, but after episode 30, it entered into an endless loop.

Dunno where you left... in here CN aired up after they stop the rats. The rest are just fillers... even the two last episodes of the anime (The best Clue to defeat Naraku) are fillers... so don't worry, you are not missing much.

Well ANN, ADB and ANFO all have no information about further episodes. They all show 167TV eps and 4 movies.
That's because the series is returning... as in: someday. It wasn't cancelled which is why the status is "returning series". No episodes are coming anytime soon (since the advancement of the manga could be resumed in no more than 20 episodes at best) tho so don't get your hopes high.
One of the main reasons many folks watch anime is because they can relate to a character in the anime. Thus your mind projects an outcome for a character, can be consious or non, and when you never get to see this outcome to see if it matches your own, your upset (yes I know its a run-on but its a forum not English 101.) Anyways when you say serious and apply to an Anime I take it your meaning of serious differs from mine. For me serious is something effecting me in RL. You could argue that psychologicaly anime characters that people are obsessed with DO tamper with the minds of the obsessed. What im trying to get at is cheer up ! be happy because anime is awesome and fun to be happy with ! anime isnt worth becoming stressed out about. You'll recieve grey hairs from many other things.
