ZOMG!! It has a super-duper phishing filter! As if I can't just take a quick glance at the address bar when a website or someone redirects to a log-in page!

PS: I know I'm a little late with this news :D

A lot of people lacks obviousness and intelligent in this forums. I tried IE 8 and it's pretty good to say the least.

It will be a virus and Malware magnet though

Hence the reason I will continue to stick with Firefox until something truly better comes along.

M$ destroyed IE rep along time ago, ive tried it and its got some cool features but its slow and i can think of a browser which can have almost any feature(firefox) and browser which is like 20 times faster(Google Chrome) and one which has the best of both worlds(Opera), and top of this, the browsers patch problems in a few days and doesnt wait like to the next release to do anything about it.

It's all relative, just how IE7 was pretty good compared to IE6 and yet still didn't really come close to Firefox. From what I read in previews IE is one step closer to following web standards though, a blessing for website designers, and everyone who is not buying into MS' monopoly.

I remember the 64-bit version of Internet Explorer 8 in Windows 7 displaying things wrong on some sites, and even the 32-bit version looked almost right, but still a bit funky at times (looked fine scrolling down, but scrolling back up made some icons and images look weird ,like one row of pixels was duplicated on two lines or something). I presume this was fixed if this is a final release.

Actually, I haven't used Windows 7 in a while, since it was on my old 320GB drive, which reminds me, I need to reinstall it again.

I tend to think it's not the browser that is breaking the web standards, but rather, the web developers are the ones breaking the web standards. :p So it might be quite unfair to blame browsers when a web page doesn't load correctly.

Say... when you get shot, do you blame your armor for not stopping the bullet, or do you blame the shooter? :D
