For one reason or another, my epsxe crashes instantly as soon as I try to run a game, no matter if it is an iso, a cd, or a mounted iso. I'll open epsxe and the window pops up correspondingly, leaving me to configure any of the settings how I please, however if I were to try to play a game or even run the bios, god forbid, the window instantly closes. No warning messages, no errors, nothing. I tried restarting my computer, that didn't help. Tried changing the bios thinking the one I had been using became corrupt, nothing. I also tried using past versions of epsxe and the same thing kept happening. 'Even tried uninstalling and reinstalling and still nothing. The strange thing is, is that epsxe had been working %100 flawlessly with multiple games up until now. I had made no changes at all to my computer or it that would cause this to occur. And it's not DEP, because I've absolutely disabled DEP on my laptop a long while ago and was still able to run the emulator then. If it helps;
-Vista OS Home premium SP2 32bit
-Intel Core 2 [email protected]
-Nvidia GT 220m w/1 GB vram
-4 GB RAM
-Epsxe v 1.7.0

Any help is appreciated, Thank you.

Well, I had the logger disabled. Even when enabled, it didn't help. Nor any error of what's going on in the logger would be viewable to the human eye as it too would close instantly as soon as I tried to run a game.

copy (not cut) the contents of the folder into a new folder, and delete the old.

It might also help to delete the regdata for the emulator from the registry.

windows registry editor, "Regedit.exe"

or simply open notepad, and copy

Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\epsxe]

into it. then save it as "epsxe_clean.reg"

then you can double click on the saved file and it will remove the epsxe settings from the registry.
