Importing game saves into pcsx2?

with gameshark you have to use a USB cable. that means a good working usb plugin for PCSX2 and that's not out as far as i know. some where in the forum people where talking about ps2link(i believe??haven't been here for a long time). if you could get it to work with pcsx2, you may be able to use nport but i'm not sure.

Getting the save files on to my computer is not the problem(codebreaker v9 lets me save them on to a thumb drive). The problem I'm having is that I can't import the game saves into the 'file system' in the .ps2 memory card files that pcsx2 creates. I have heard people talk about doing It with gameshark game saves(I assume the newer versions have a similar feature to the codebreaker).

OR you can use ps2 save tool to convert your save to gameshark format and do the same.

Yeah, but I don't know how they are doing it with the gameshark format files, I just keep hearing people mention it. Assumably they are using some sort of tool that can access the file system in the memory card files(like a memory card editor), in which case thats what I need.

right now i'm in linux and the tool i told you is for windows. i think it had ps2 format support but i can't use the tool to tell you for sure. find it and see if i'm right.

Actually, I already have PS2 save builder and unfortunately it does not have any capability to add game saves to pcsx2 memcard files.

Edit: I think my title for this thread may have confused people a little bit. I am looking for a program that can edit the memory card files pcsx2 uses. It seems like there should be such a program, I mean one of the screen shots on the ngemu home page shows save files from games that don't get far enough to save in, so someone had to have added them to the memcard outside of pcsx2.

I'm importing game save that already in the gameshark v3.0 DVD. I've try with Action Replay Codebreaker, it also working. It's working with ffx save game. Want to try with kingdom heart next time. Gud luck everyone.

I'm create iso file for Gameshark v3.0 coz cdvd peops not working with me. always crash.

for example CKEmu's FFX Stolen Fayth save...but he said he got it from a very recent demo disc(save downloader that comes with most demo discs)...But I'm Portuguese and i haven't got that thing. Portuguese demo discs still don't have that FFX save. That is one reason why I posted the comment on how to import save games into pcsx2 memcards in the 0.8.1 bugfix ngemu news. someone help plz. :yawn:

I found out how to do this with out using the method CKEmu used from another poster. You can import saves as described here but, it is a bit tedious.
