I am having trouble loading save states. I think I've found their location in the sub folders "battery saves" and "save states." Unfortunately, when I open either of the files (XXX # GBA.sav or XXX # GBA1.sgm) it gives me an error similar to this: Unknown file type /Users/Anna/Downloads/VisualBoyAdvance 1.7.4/Save States/XXX # GBA1.sgm

What do I do?

.sav is a battery file. .sgm is a state.

however im not sure that the sgm format is used on the mac version.

Try using 1.7.0 rather then 1.7.4
