Under W2K I can set petes OGL 1.55 resolution as low as 320x200. Under Windows 98 I can't seem to set it lower than 640x480. Why is this? Is there a workaround?

I don't know why you want it to be low-res but it seems to be the driver who's denying the low resolution. At least this could be the prob if Pete's Plugin is checking it.

I want low resolutions for better framerates of course. There are some parts of some games which can cut the frames down to 40-50 fps.

I am pretty sure the drivers are the same version (the most recent detonator drivers from nvidia) of course one is a w2k driver and the one is the w9x version of the driver... I'll haveta check when I get home.
I remember there being something somewhere on how you can add video modes in the registry, but I don't remember where I saw it sorry. On a side note, under winxp here my opengl lists as low as 320x200, using the latest nvidia drivers which would be the same drivers you're running under 2k so it probably isn't a driver problem and I'm too sick to think of why sorry.

mmmkay... I'll check into that. Get well soon.

also, certain games have weird slowdown problems. You can fix those with enabling 'pc fps calculation' in pete's plugins (its under 'special game fixes'). It will fix the speed in certain games allthough it will mess up music.
