Hello everyone,
I'm Bloodied0ne and kinda new to this whole emulation thing.
I've set up ePSXe on two rigs, my laptop and my desktop.
Only problem is I can't figure out what to do for the Video settings for either rig.

My Laptop:
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5550 @ 1.83 GHz
Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family (up to 256 MBs shared)
2.00 GB of RAM
Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 32-bit

My Desktop:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3000+ @ 2.2 GHz (Overclocked)
XFX Nvidia Geforce 9500 GT 512 mb
2.00 GB of RAM
Windows XP Home SP3 32-bit

can anyone give me some good tips for each rig?

stick to the Dx6 plugin with the Intel system, the AMD system is capable of opengl 1.78 and 2.9

settings are game dependant usually but 1-2-2 works for most games using 2.9,
and 3-3-4 or 4-3-4 for 1.78

the Dx6 plugins can use 3-2-3-4 pr 4-2-3-4, though there will still be missing effects.

I've been trying to play Mega Man Legends but it was skipping oddly and whenever Roll spoke it not only lagged my game but she sounded...quite satanic actually.
Luckily P.E.Op.S. DSound has fixed that strange occurrence. And the game plays flawlessly thank you again. :3

Hi everyone, I just started using ePSXe and have been fiddling around with the video plugins, both 1.78 and 2.9 (the PSX GPU plugins) usually setting them on default > fast - so rather than starting a new thread I thought I will follow this one; even though my games run well on ePSXe - I have to run them at the absolute minimum on the 2.9 and 1.78 configs.
I'm wondering why my laptop isn't very receptive to even the most minor changes, even though it's not a bad spec and I only bought it last month.

Here are my specs:

Macbook - (Running Windows XP through 'Parallel' - SP2 I believe)
2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
2GB DDR3 SDRAM
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M - 256MB DDR3

I'm thinking it could be my virtual Windows not recognizing my GFX or something like that, but I'm not entirely sure(?)

Any help, greatly appreciated

because you're running windows via an emulator (VM) which creates an instance of overhead to begin with.

and secondly, probably because the 9400 is weak.

Thanks mate, I'll try booting Windows separately via Boot Camp rather than as a virtual system; to see if that helps.
