I Need Help (ff8)

Ok here is the problem....no matter what config I have tried I cannot get FF8 to even run

I have all the latest drivers and I can't figure out why it won't run....I thought it was running through Petes D3D but it just gave me lines then my computer froze.....can anyone tell me of a config that has worked for them? :help:

Ok this is my config....pstt i run ff8 perfect with this config

Plugin: Pete's D3D Driver 1.1.53

GFX card: SiS 630/730

Resolution/Color:
- 1024x768 Fullscreen - [16 Bit]

- Filtering: 3
- Caching: 2

- Offscreen drawing: 3
- Framebuffer texture: 2
- Alpha multipass: on
- Mask bit: off
- Advanced blending: hardware

Misc:
- Scanlines: off [0]
- Unfiltered FB: off
- Dithering: on
- Full vram: off
- Game fixes: off [00000000]

SPU Plugin : Pete Dsound audio driver 1.11
CD Plugin: Pete's CDR ASPI/IOCTL Driver 1.7

My system spec:
PIII 733mhz
SiS 630/730 gfx card
52X cd rom drive

I highly doubt you can run FF8 perfectly with a SIS 630, but if you say so I believe, for now...

Anyway, why use 32bit textures and a 16bit display resolution? You won't be able to see those colors, so you can go down to 16bit textures (R5G5B5A1) and enable dithering.

This one also works.

Runs FF8 (US/CD) perfect, and with decent speed (My system is slow so I need all the speed-ups I can get):

Pete's Software GPU 1.53
- 640x480x16 full-screen video mode
- Frame-skipping off (causes glitches)
- Stretch 1:1 (not like it has any influence, but is fastest on my system)
- No Game Fixes activated
ePSXe Internal SPU
Pete's ASPI CDR 1.6

Running through BIOS (-legaia option)
CDR timing off
