i have a problem with FF8, please help

ok, whenever i play it always freezes all the time, then it goes back to normal, off and on. but whenever i fight this one particular boss it freezes, then the music slows down, and it never returns to normal. anyone know how to fix this?

what are your computer's specs and what plugins are you using? sounds like it's probably using a framebuffer effect that your gfx card hates.

specs

ive got a radeon 9000 video card, and the video plug in is called "Pete's open GL Driver 1.75" is that enough information to figure something out? bare with me, im new to this emulator thing.....

Try running straight from an image.

i don't think he may know what that means. You need to copy the whole disc to your harddrive with a cd coping program like NERO or ultraiso or cdrwin.
