:angry: First of all, the point of a ps2 emulator is for people who don't have a ps2. Why in god's weiner would I go through all that trouble to rip a bios out of a ps2 to use it in a emulator if I have the machine? So what is the real point of making or even having a emulator if every body even the admins are so scare of copyright **** ? We got over 5000 people on kazaa sharing files and trust me people, their entire system full of copyrighted games are even worse then sharing a bios.

Actually the point of an emulator is not for those who don't have the console, to tell you the truth I play all emulated games when I own the console! NES, Sega Genesis, PSone etc ...

Anyways, I can see you're angry. Well the truth abolut emulators are they are made to mostly bring new life to games. Games you played before, but being emulated is something exiting and new! Emulators truly are great, but the legal way is to own the console you are trying to emulate.

If you wanna play PS2 so bad right now, go and buy a PS2, they are pretty damn cheap right now if you ask me, and i'm a cheap guy taboot!

With attitudes like yours relating to NGEMU, Emuforums and emulation in general, I don't see a bright future for you.

However to answer your question:

The point of ps2 emus is not so that cheapstakes can play games. It is about proving it can be done, and presevation of old software. However it is misinformed opinions like the one you have expressed which gets us unfairly associated with the pirates. We are legal. That's why those rules are in place, and likwise that is also why we are still here after all this time.
