how do i open it? i new to this thing, every time i try to play it i'm always redirected to dreamcast music player screen:???:

Could be an issue with the disc that you are using, as it may not necessarily be bootable. The safest bet is to use the untampered .GDI disk image or the self bootable .CDI image format.
