in ff 8 the hp meters and command windows dont appear during battle. i am running 1.7.0 and i use petes open gl #1. i dont know the graphics card its probably stock and slow but the game runs fine. its just the above problem i have. so if anyone has an idea to troublshoot i would appreciate it.

set compatiblity to 3-3-4 and enable the FF8 gamefix.
