OK, i have a psx to usb adapter and i have been using my ps2 pad. It works pretty good but the pressure sensitive buttons dont seem to work. They just act as if im using a normal ps1 pad.

The buttons just register as normal digital buttons but the analog sticks work fine. Could it be the adapter im using ? or the windows xp drivers just suck ?

The adapter im using doesnt seem to have a name on it but it uses the cy7c63001a usb controller chip.

Sorry if this question has been asked already, but i tried using the search function and for some reason i keep getting "page cannot be displayed" error.

Also in addition to what n_w95482 has said, in directX buttons are assumed to be boolean, either on or off. In order to implement the analogue buttons the driver would need to be rewritten as if the buttons were actually axis controls. That said, IIRC directX only allows up to a total of 5 axes, 4 of which are already assigned to the two dual shock sticks. Hence it is essentually impossible to get the analogue button to work without a rewrite of directX itself.
